  • Exhaust gas restriction leading to backpressure
  • Worn bearings
  • Incorrect installation or adjustment of ‘K’ value
  • Mismatch of the engine and turbocharger


  • Match the engine and turbocharger
  • Reduce the speed of the engine and reduce the pressure of the scavenging manifold
  • Check and clean dirty components
  • Wash the gas and airside of the turbocharger regularly
  • Check the bearing
